Race For the Cure

A month ago I decided I was going to run a 5k this summer. That might not be a big deal for most people but for me it's huge. I have never been a runner and really want to prove to myself I can do this. I had decided to do the Murray 4th of July one because then it gave me plenty of time to actually get in shape. My friend Jena then asked if I wanted to do the Race For the Cure in Salt Lake and I immediately said yes and to give me the details.
I might be crazy.
It is on May 8th. That is one month from now!
I am way excited and have signed up so to commit myself to it. I just now really need to get my butt in gear.
So off to the gym I go...I don't want to embarrass myself :)

Yay Spring!

We have Spring Fever. The last two days of this week have been great with the warmer weather. I'm looking forward to the weekend with the sun shining!

I can already tell that this summer we won't be indoors much. Colton loves the outside and would spend all day out there if we allowed him too. You would think we were killing him with the fits he throws while bringing him inside.

The other day our friend Aniston got to come over and play for a little while. Colton loved it! Aniston is the cutest little grownup, I mean girl. Seriously I am so impressed with how mature and smart she is! I had to keep reminding myself she is only two. My friends Jena and Chris are doing a great job in raising her!
We played outside the whole time and had a blast! Aniston was very good at helping me make sure Colton didn't go in the street, or throw rocks in the grass and she even taught him how to roll down our hill.
I do have to say the sidewalk chalk was the best idea. We drew for an hour. Aniston kept asking me to draw Mickey, which wasn't so hard, then she wanted me to draw Goofy. That is where my artistic abilities stopped. So we made up our own Goofy (sad there are no pictures).
Here are a few pictures of our good times.

Thanks Aniston for coming over! Come over anytime and you can play with all of Colton's toys!

Happy Easter

**There are a few new posts**
Colton in his studly Easter Outfit

We had a great Easter this year! The Easter Bunny was very good to Colton. He got up Easter morning to find a surprise in the living room. He was amazed and so excited he didn't know what to look at first! He got a cool Mickey Mouse tricycle (that is still a little too big for him but he loved sitting on it and pushing all the buttons), Alvin and the Chipmunks The Squeakquel (I might have enjoyed that one more than him!), an Elmo book, sidewalk chalk, and a big slide for the backyard (which he hasn't even seen yet thanks to the snow!). Grandma and Grandpa Treat also gave him a kids song CD, a Toy Story book, and his very own Black and Decker toolbox complete with his own tools.Later that day we had Don and Margaret, Ron, Shamie and Lucas and Terry's brother Larry came over for dinner. The food was great and I ate WAY too much. I have never felt so sick from over eating but it was just so good. I forget my stomach isn't use to such binging anymore (thank goodness).

Colton and Lucas had a great time playing. The Easter Bunny even came and hid some eggs while we were eating for them to find. I was quite impressed with how fast Colton caught on and how good he was at spotting the eggs out. He would get so excited when he found one to put in his basket. I don't have pictures of the hunt yet because I forgot to give my camera to anyone to take pictures. I love seeing Colton and Lucas playing together because Colton doesn't get to spend a ton of time with other little kids so he really loves when Lucas comes over!

Colton loves copying anything Lucas does

Overall we had a one of the best Easters I can remember. I love spending time with my family and can't wait until next year when those cute little babies can join in on the fun! Holidays are just a thousand times better with Colton around!

Our only decent picture out of many attempts for a family picture

Easter Eggs

Colton and I colored Easter Eggs on Friday so the Easter Bunny could hide thme Easte rmorning. Colton loved dropping the eggs in the cups full of color and would get excited when we would take them out and see the colors. He couldn't keep his hands out of the color so his hands looked a little smurfish by the end which also fascinated him! Although a little stressful for me Colton had a fun time and that was all that I cared about!

Random Happenings

I just wanted to document lots of little things that we have been doing so here is a modge podge of items...
Colton has been such a great helper lately for Grandma and Grandpa. He is going to be a good little assistant this year in helping plant Grandmas flowers.
Grandpa is redoing our laundry room and Colton just loves going down there and assisting. He even has his own tools to help out with!

We got to ride the train at Southtowne mall about two weeks ago. Colton loves trains so he loved every second!

Colton has become more and more mischevious lately getting into anything he can. One night I found him in the bathroom where he had decided to stuff the toilet seat cover in the toilet.

Aunt Karlee found him a new bed that he liked for awhile.

And here is a cute picture of how I found him asleep with his favorite friends.

I also forgot to post about St. Patricks day so here is our Green Eggs and Ham dinner and my cute niece Michelle celebrating with us.
