WE CAN'T WAIT!!!

Thursday....7:00 pm....SO EXCITED!!!!!
GO UTES!!!!

Lions and Tigers and Bears...Oh My!

I finally got to take Colton to the zoo for the first time. I was a little worried because he is teething and is the fussiest he has ever been but of course he was great as usual! (Yes i realize I'm lucky!) We went with Grandpa Vance and Grandma Margie. I'm not sure who enjoyed it more Colton or Grandpa. I think we went at the perfect time, Sunday morning before it got hot and before the crowds showed up! We saw the whole zoo in two and half hours and left as it started getting crowded. Colton was very intrigued by all the big animals (especially the elephants) and loved to mimic the Monkeys! I didn't get a ton of pictures but here are the best ones I got.

I tried to get him to stand still by himself but he kept walking away! Oh well...maybe next year!

All pooped out...

I am so grateful to share these experiences with Colton and want to take advantage of every day I have with him because you just never know if that could be taken away from you. I keep hearing tragic stories and one has hit a little closer to home than normal. As I have sat and thought about it it has made me realize how lucky I am to have such a wonderful child and great family.

Bubble Baths!

Colton LOVES them!! He mostly likes to stick his face in the water and eat the bubbles but that way he makes good beards! I LOVE him!

Summer Fun

Since I'm not so great at updating my blog I'll put a couple of the fun things we have done recently into one post...
Camping with the Baileys
A lot of fun! We went to private property so it was quiet and we could d o whatever we wanted. We drove the four wheelers around and just sat and sat. I even drove the four wheeler for the first time and surprised myself by really liking it. Because it was secluded we put Colton in the middle of Karlee and I and drove him down a little paved road. He LOVED it and said "vroom vroom" the whole time. He kept wanting to go more and was getting mad when we wouldn't. Of course it was cold Saturday and warm Sunday the day we were leaving but oh well still fun! I forgot the stroller and so my genius stepdad attached a rope to a box Colton kept climbing in and we had to take turns pulling him around. He is so easily entertained!

Cherry Hill

We went to Cherry Hill with Jena and Aniston and had a blast! Colton loves water, swimming, and little kids so he was in heaven! He had a friend to follow around and could get splashed in the face (which he enjoys)! It was fun and I can't wait until next year when he can enjoy a little bit more!

It's a BOY! YAY!

After waiting for over TEN long years my step sister Jenny and her husband Rick will be adding a baby BOY to their already beautiful family of four in January! We couldn't be happier for them and can't wait for Colton to have another cousin. Now if they would just move to Utah it would be perfect :)

A Fresh Start

I'm not sure how to begin this except for saying that this was not an easy decision or an easy thing for me to do. I have decided that Colton and I needed a fresh start. We have moved into my mom's for the time being and are taking our life day by day. I want to thank all my friends and family who have been a HUGE support throughout this time to us. I know this was the right thing for us to do and have no regrets. It's time to move forward and see what adventures life will bring us now!

Alaska

WARNING! Long with alot of pictures!
Colton and I had the opportunity to go on an Alaskan cruise with my dad's family at the end of July. It was so much fun! I was nervous to fly with a ten month old but of course Colton did wonderfully! He slept for half the flight then ate and played the rest of the flight.
Right before we took off
We flew in with my grandparents and met everyone else on the ship. Our whole family got to go which is amazing! It's not often you can get everyone together for a week at the same time. We were excited to see Uncle Trevor (who now lives in California), Aunt Jenny and Uncle Rick and their kids Brandon and Michelle.

We had two days at sea and four stops at ports all of which were gorgeous and fun! We got to see Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, and Victoria B.C. (which I thought was the most gorgeous of all!). Colton and I mostly walked around the towns and did some shopping at all the ports except for in Victoria where we got to see the Beauchart Gardens (I have no idea if that is spelled right). They were so pretty and so amazing to look at.
I honestly could not have asked for a better trip or better behaving child. He was AMAZING the whole time and was quite the charmer and performer with everyone he met. I thank God everyday for the opportunity to have him in my life and to learn and grow with him.
I took over 300 pictures during our week of fun but I will just share a few...
