Happiest Day on Earth! Day Three

I am shocked I am saying this but three days at Disneyland just isn't enough. There was still so much we wanted to see and do that we just weren't going to have time for :( We went into day three knowing what rides we wanted to make sure to do. We got to hit the Peter Pan ride (one of my new favorites) Finding Nemo, some went to Star Tours while we took the little kids to the Jungle Cruise since Colton slept through it the night before and I knew he would love it. As soon as we did those rides we headed back over to California Adventure. We rode the new Little Mermaid ride (another of my new favorites), ate lunch, rode Toy Story Mania which Colton LOVED! I kept trying to ask him if he was having fun but he wouldn't take his eyes off the screen and just kept shooting his gun with determination. I wish I had got a picture because it is hands down one of my favorite moments with him on this trip. Colton also wanted to go back on the big Ferris Wheel and decided we wanted to do a spinning car. I was worried he would be scared but boy was I wrong. He laughed so hard every time we started rocking back and forth and thought it was so fun. We went and spent some more time over at Bug's Land and let Colton play in the splash pad area and drive the bumper cars. Then it was time to go to dinner. We went to Tortilla Joe's in Downtown Disney which was pretty good. Thanks to Shamie for finding the restaurant and making reservations before hand. After dinner we headed back to California Adventure to see the World of Color. While waiting Colton kept telling me that his tummy hurts. He never says this unless he has to throw up so I knew it probably wasn't a good idea to stay sitting in the middle of a big crowd especially since we still had about 30 more minutes for the show to start. Luckily I had been a nice mom that day and took a stroller for him so I packed us up and we with my parents decided to leave. Luckily that was a smart decision since about half way to the exit of the parks Colton decided to throw up all over himself, the stroller and sidewalk. I am sure that was a humorous site for people to see as I was scrambling to find wipes and my mom was emptying bags that had souvenirs in them to help wipe up puke everywhere. My step dad made the comment that I should take a picture with the caption "Disneyland: The End." It really did sum it up. Colton fell right to sleep after that and we hurried back to the hotel where he woke up just enough for a quick two minute shower and then he was right back to sleep. Thank goodness he slept through the night and was perfectly fine the next morning.

Colton is obsessed with taking pictures with our tongues out. I usually have to compromise and take one sticking our tongues out before he will smile for one.

Side Note: The whole trip all I wanted was a picture of Colton with Mickey in his classic outfit. By the end of day three I had come to the conclusion it wasn't going to happen. My mom and I waked over to Disneyland to combine all my picture cards together before dinner and I was telling my mom I was bummed about it. As we were leaving the park my mom got excited and saw that Mickey was standing by the entrance taking pictures. YAY! I got my picture I wanted the whole trip.

We had such a great time and I can't wait to go back! Colton loved it and I will never forget how excited he was the whole time. I feel so lucky that we were able to take the time and go on such a great vacation and I am also so grateful for the great family I have. This vacation would not have been the same without them. The goal is to go again in two years and I really hope more of the family can come. Until then though Colton thinks Disneyland is closed and I will let him keep thinking that for the next two years otherwise he will ask to go everyday!

Happiest Place on Earth! Day Two

On our second day at Disneyland our cousins The Jacobs and Campbells were able to come out and join us. Colton was so excited to go to Disneyland with Lucas. On the walk over they were so excited they couldn't even walk straight. Colton kept showing Lucas all the signs with the characters pictures on it and they were jumping up and down! That morning we went to the breakfast at Paradise Pier Hotel with some of the characters. That was SO MUCH FUN and I recomeend it to anyone! To be able to see Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy and Stitch with no lines and for as long as we liked was great! Even three days later Colton was talking about how Minnie sat at the table at ate with us. Colton and Lucas were up at the front dancing when Mickey and Pluto walked over and started dancing with them. It was so cute and I got some really great video!

After breakfast we went over to Disneyland to meet the grandparents and to spend the day on all the kid rides. We went on all the kid rides, over to Toonland to play and over to the Winnie the Pooh ride. After we it up all those rides it was about 7:00, since there was a very small line at Splash Mountain some of the people decided to ride that. While they were going on that ride I took Colton up to some of the stores to see if I could find us both a shirt to wear for the next day. The poor kid was so exhausted that as soon as I picked him up (since I was a mean mom and wouldn't push a stroller for him and made him walk) he fell asleep. I then sat on a bench and waited about 30 minutes for everyone to go on Indiana Jones and then we all went on the Jungle Cruise. At that time the park was just about to close so we headed back to the hotel. Since Colton is so big now and heavy there was no way I was going to be able to carry him all the way back to the hotel. Since he was just so tired, and kind of a momma's boy, he wouldn't let anyone else carry him. Luckily my step dad rocks and hurried back to the hotel while my mom and I waited for him to come back with the car.

Happiest Place on Earth! Day 1

**Fair Warning...Lots of Pictures!!**

After the game we headed to Anaheim California to spend three days in Disneyland! Our first day we went to Disneyland in the morning to do a couple rides but then spent most of the rest of the day in California Adventure. Colton was hesitant of the rides at first but then quickly became very brave and loved them all! He was able to meet a few characters that day including Chip and Dale, Woody and Jessie. We also went to a few shows including the Disney Junior show with Little Einsteins, Handy Manny and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse; Muppet's in 3D and A Bug's Life in 3D. Colton LOVED the Disney Junior show and was in the front row standing and dancing the whole time! I have some really cute video of this but let's be honest, I am lucky to even get pictures uploaded on here. He also liked the 3D shows and would duck when things were coming at his face. After going on all the rides we could handle we headed back over to watch the parade, get Colton's silhouette cut out and do a few "big kid" rides. Colton was exhausted by the end of the day and feel asleep on my lap at dinner. He would fall asleep before ever getting back to the hotel room every night and sleep without moving until the morning. The poor kid wore himself out!

He is so excited!

Our first day was so fun and we couldn't wait to spend two more days at The Happiest Place on Earth!

Pac-12

Last weekend Colton, myself, my parents and Karlee went to Southern California to watch Utah play the first Pac-12 game against USC. Although the ending is not what we had wished for it is always fun to go to away games. I was proud to see how many Utah fans travelled to see the team play. I am also so grateful how good Colton is during the games. He claps and sings along to the fight song and gets so excited and cheers when everyone else is. I was worried about how he would do since we had to fly in that morning and sit in the heat but like his mom he doesn't care as long as he is watching football!!

On the plane:

Go Utes!!
