4th of July

Our 4th of July was tons of fun! Nev was out of town so Colton and I hung out with my family all day. We started the day at the Murray parade and besides the over rambunctious candy throwers it was a lot of fun. We went with our cousins Don, Shamie, Ron, Shawn, Susie and their girls.
Later that day we went to Don and Margarets for a BBQ. The grownups played a game of Lasso Golf (which if I do say so myself I kick butt at :). After we were done Colton and Lucas decided to give it a shot!
How cute is this picture:) Don't mind the diaper but way too HOT for clothes!
After spending the day there we headed to my dads to do the millons of fireworks he bought. Colton liked them at first but was SO tired he couldn't handle much of them. It was funny because when they were loud it scared him but he just couldn't look away!
Overall we had a GREAT day!

Water Fun!!

Colton has always loved water. Not once has he cried or fussed when he has taken a bath, even as a baby he enjoyed it. He even likes water being poured over his head and down his face! Now that it is warm weather we have taken advantage with water time fun!

We bought a blow up pool and decided last weekend was the perfect time to use it
First we had to blow up the pool but Colton was a great helper!
We let the water warm up for a couple hours but when we put him in it was still pretty chilly so he would not venture past daddy's hands!
Once Grandma Margie came in and sat with him he realized it wasn't so bad! (This was after daddy dumped a bunch of pots full of hot water in from the house!)
A couple days later he was helping my mom (Grandma Treat) water her plants when he decided the sprinkler looked fun!
Colton is such a good boy and always an adventure. I am very grateful and very lucky to have him in my life!
Fourth of July was a blast! Pictures and details to come soon....

Big Rock Candy Mountain

We went camping over my birthday and Father's Day with my parents, our cousins Don and Margaret, and some friends. It was Colton's first camping trip and I think it was a success! We took Baelynn with us and she loved it!
She was such a big helper on the way down. It was about a three hour drive and even though we tried our best to time it where Colton didn't need to eat on the way there I still brought a bottle just in case and thank goodness I did!
When I turned around and started giving Colton the bottle my little helper took it right out of my hands and said she could do it! She is going to be such a good big sister when her mom has the twins sometime in the very near future!
We had so much fun despite the rainy days and cold nights. The first night we got there it rained and rained but we decided that even though my parents had a motor home there we would bundle Colton up and sleep in the tent. That only lasted the first night when we decided it wasn't worth him getting sick from the cold and I slept in the motor home with him the rest of the time while Nev and Baelynn slept in the tent.
We went 4 wheeling a couple days and had a blast! Thanks to my mom, Don, and Margaret for babysitting one day so Nev and I could go on our six hour adventure! Even Baelynn wanted in on the fun. Every time we turned around she was sitting on the 4 wheeler pretending to drive. Terry went to Richfield and bought her a helmet so she could officially go on a ride. Last year she wanted nothing to do with it so this was quite a surprise!

Here are a few more pictures that I like from our trip...

When it was rainy the favorite activity was to sit on the bed and pound on the windows. At least it was cheap entertainment! We discovered Colton LOVES bubbles! We had so much fun we are now planning on going camping a couple more times this summer!

Nine Month Pictures

I went and got some pictures taken of colton in his swimsuit. They turned out so cute i had a hard time deciding! Here are a few to enjoy...
I know I'm biased but how can you not fall in love with those eyes!

Getting Started

So I'm not sure how to start a blog but I thought I would try. I don't promise it will be very exciting or updated to often but I do think it is a great way to keep in touch with people.

Too start I have a nine month old son, Colton Lewis Hernandez

He is definatley the best thing that has ever happened to me and the love of my life! I couldn't imagine my life without him or what I did before him. He is a mover and shaker and quite the performer. He can put a smile on your face by just looking at him because he is probably pulling some silly face or making some weird noise then laughing when he realizes you are looking at him. He pulls himself up on anything that is stable and walks all around furniture. He has started crawling up stairs and is trying to figure out the walking thing. He says "mama" all the time but (although I will tell myself otherwise) probably doesn't associate that "mama" is me.

We are excited Summer has started and hope to do lots of fun things throughout it! We have gone camping, swimming, and gone to the park lots. He loves the swings!
We also plan on going to the zoo soon so if anyone would like to join us just let us know!
That's it for now!
