She was such a big helper on the way down. It was about a three hour drive and even though we tried our best to time it where Colton didn't need to eat on the way there I still brought a bottle just in case and thank goodness I did!
When I turned around and started giving Colton the bottle my little helper took it right out of my hands and said she could do it! She is going to be such a good big sister when her mom has the twins sometime in the very near future!
We had so much fun despite the rainy days and cold nights. The first night we got there it rained and rained but we decided that even though my parents had a motor home there we would bundle Colton up and sleep in the tent. That only lasted the first night when we decided it wasn't worth him getting sick from the cold and I slept in the motor home with him the rest of the time while Nev and Baelynn slept in the tent.
We went 4 wheeling a couple days and had a blast! Thanks to my mom, Don, and Margaret for babysitting one day so Nev and I could go on our six hour adventure! Even Baelynn wanted in on the fun. Every time we turned around she was sitting on the 4 wheeler pretending to drive. Terry went to Richfield and bought her a helmet so she could officially go on a ride. Last year she wanted nothing to do with it so this was quite a surprise!
Here are a few more pictures that I like from our trip...
When it was rainy the favorite activity was to sit on the bed and pound on the windows. At least it was cheap entertainment! We discovered Colton LOVES bubbles! We had so much fun we are now planning on going camping a couple more times this summer!
Isn't it just amazing how happy kids are to be in the great outdoors! It makes camping totally worthwhile!!!
