We Love Uncle Trevor

My brother Trevor moved to California last February and although we saw him on our cruise to Alaska this is the first time he has been home since. My mom was VERY excited to see him (since she hasn't seen him since he moved). I knew Colton would take a minute to warm up to him but once he did he decided Trevor was the best! We spent all day Saturday with him when we went to my cousin Brooke's wedding, (I'm so mad I didn't get any pictures of her...she looked GORGEOUS!) then to tailgating and the Utes game. We had tons of fun and are hoping now that snow is looming just around the corner he will decide to come out more often!

Looking sharp in their ties...

Trevor and his friend Lindsey who Colton adored

And because I think this picture is sooo cute...Colton and his cousin Eisley hugging. They loved each other at the wedding and kept wanting to give each other kisses

Then and Now

One year ago today at 2:43pm...
Weight: 8lbs
Height: 19.5"
Sweetest baby in the world. Great sleeper, eater and cuddler

Weight: 20.7lbs
Height: 29 1/4"
Sweetest "toddler" in the world! Still a great sleeper, eater and cuddler. Walking everything, talking all day. Words he can say include: Mama, Dada, Dog, Bum, Hi, Gama (grandma).

Colton's 1st Haircut!

The day Colton was born I was informed numerous times by his dad's family that he could not get his hair cut until his first birthday. YAY the day arrived!! He was not cooperative for pictures and I didn't get a great after but he did an awesome job during the haircut. We think it's because he watches Grandma do this to people all day long!

And he was DONE! Up until then though he was seriously amazing!

1st Birthday Party!

Yesterday I had Colton's 1st birthday party. I did a Monkey themed party and it turned out great! I rented a pavilion and had it at Winchester Park and once the wind died down it was perfect weather. There was a playground for the kids and we did a pinata. Since I don't know how to do collage pictures (and don't have the patience to figure it out) here are probably WAY too many pictures to enjoy. Note: I am NOT Holly Homemaker and made the cakes so I'm quite proud ;)

Colton had never really had sugar until he had this cake...yes...he enjoyed it!

Can we say SPOILED!

Yes there are three of those dogs and I had bought him one making his grand total four. I guess great minds think alike!

THANK YOU to everyone who came and made his day special. Thank you to my parents for all their help and especially THANK YOU to Maria who helped plan, shop, setup, and calm me down! I could not have asked for a better day!

Another year older...

Friday was my step mom Margie's birthday. Our family is not one to make big deals out of birthdays ever but since this was a big one (60!) my step sisters decided to throw a surprise party for her. Our family met up at the Rodizio Grill and waited for Margie and my dad to show up. She was completely surprised (despite the fact that my dad might not be the smoothest secret keeper!) The biggest surprise is that my step sister Jenny and her kids flew in from Arizona to be here. We had an awesome dinner and it was really nice to be together and get to see Brandon and Michelle. Colton loves them! I didn't get any good pictures of the actual surprise but here are some cute ones from dinner.

On a side note I can't believe Colton turns ONE in a couple weeks! I'm excited and sad at the same time. He is becoming such a big boy! Walking everywhere and talking more and more!

Can I get a Woot Woot?!

Doesn't he look thrilled :)

Yesterday was the first Utah home game of the season. I have been looking forward to taking Colton to these since I found out I was pregnant! He was too little last year so yesterday the time was finally here! He went up tailgating six hours before the game and made it all the way until the fourth quarter before he was just too tired to keep cheering (it was ten o'clock though so I was impressed we made it that long!) He loved cheering and clapped right along with everyone. We had a ton of fun and I hope there is a few more games with good enough weather I can take him to this year.
